In 1952 Breitling released the original Navitimer having been asked to create a tool for pilots to use to perform all the necessary in-flight calculations on their wrist. The result was a large chronograph with an unusually busy dial that has since become one of the most iconic profiles in all of horology. 

Fast forward to 2022 and Breitling unveiled their new Navitimer models using their in-house BO1 chronograph movement.

The black dial contrasts beautifully with the white chapter ring, and in my opinion this colour combination is the best of the bunch. This isn’t one for the minimalists, but it may be one for the purists.
