Based on Rolex's legendary 1530 movement, this watch utilises the 1520 calibre which was first introduced in 1963. Featuring much of the same architecture as the 1530, the 1520 remains one of the most reliable movements Rolex ever made. They phased the 1520 out in 1980, meaning this watch is from the final generation fitted with this generation of movement. A beautiful example of a piece of horological history.
